In the mouth it is deep, mellow and very harmonious with a full body, soft and round mouthfeel and a note of spice and oak on the finish. Riesling Trimbach 2022 1 x 75cl 12.5% Arguably the standard by which all dry Riesling should be measured, and required reading for any serious student of wine, this is absolutely classic, with tangy lime pith and aromatic beeswax character. Fine balance and texture on the palate, with typical Trimbach understated elegance. Still youthful and fresh, it is just starting to show hints of matured complexity. Delicious now, it will continue to evolve beautifully for at least another 4-5 years. Touraine-Oisly Climat N1 Lionel Gosseaume 2023 1 x 75cl 13.5% Beautifully fresh with complex aromas of spring flowers, fresh mint, capsicum and pea pod. A rounded texture and vibrant acidity. Touraine-Oisly was created to showcase Sauvignon Blanc from the finest sites of the Touraine region and promote genuine excellence. From an outstanding producer like Lionel Gosseaume, the results are spectacular the wine has superb intensity and concentration, and less sharpness than Sancerre or Pouilly-Fum. The Footbolt Shiraz d'Arenberg 2021 1 x 75cl 14.4% Juicy, drinkable and far, far less strident than the average NZ Sauvignon Blanc, this offers rich texture, a mouthful of herbs and tea and a heady waft of citrus, elderflower and honeycomb. Graves Rouge Chateau d'Arche 2021 1 x 75cl 12.5% It is a wine with great personality and an assertive, lingering and tangy flavour. This Friuli corner close to Slovenja, produce one of the best Pinot Grigio quality of Italy. Striking and luminous, the wine has intense color, complex nose with notes of white peach, pear, stone. The palate is structured with a long finish Plumbago Nero d'Avola Sicilia DOC Planeta 2021 1 x 75cl 13.5% Another great wine from Planeta, one of the top producers from Sicily. A generous, fruity style of Nero d'Avola, a grape particular to this region. Classic plum and blackberry notes, with just a suggestion of chocolate on the finish. Direct and charming, enjoy this with anything from a meaty pasta dish to herby roast beef. Soft tannins and roundness characterise the wine.
