Some of the botanicals used were foraged from its own site, including fresh lemongrass, locally grown lavender, even honey.. This approach is perfectly suited to the botanicals extracting the most well-rounded, fresh and oily flavours.The distillery is run on 100% green energy! Cooper King has also joined the international environmental initiative '1% For The Planet', donating 1% of the gin's annual sales to charity.Additionally, the distillery removes 1kg more CO2e from the atmosphere than it emits by working with a verified offsetting scheme, and plants 1 square metre of UK native woodland, for each bottle sold. Pretty impressive!Founded in 2016 by Dr Abbie Neilson and Chris Jaume after a stint in Tasmania learning at distilleries there,Cooper King is based 10 miles north of York.
