2016 Chteau Laniote Saint-milion Grand Cru Class

Chteau Laniote
Chteau Laniote has been in Arnaud de la Filolies family for almost two centuries. The property was created in 1816 by a Saint-Emilion wine merchant named Pierre Lacoste, who purchased a cellar and some neighboring vines, then gradually enlarged the estate through 1844. The grapevines of Saint-Emilion de Laniote are the combination of the calcareous clay soil of the Saint-Emilion plateau and the southwest orientation which gives us long-keeping wines, powerful wines with fruity, toasted, vanilla scents with a sweetness in the mouth and a powerful and velvety tannic structure. These wines are aged for 12 months in oak barrels which allows getting a good viscosity.
