Haut De La Bcade
Chteau Haut de la Becade is a small 7 hectare estate situated in the Pauillac village of Bges. It has been owned by the same family for seven generations and is surrounded by ten of the great Crus Classs. The deep gravel, clay and limestone is perfect for cabernet sauvignon dominated red wines. This wine is a barrel-aged blend of 39% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc from hand-harvested 30 year old vines. After fermentation in concrete and stainless steel, the wines is aged in French oak barrels for over a year. The 2011 vintage is drinking beautifully with classic scents of dark berries and plums, fresh tobacco, game and cedar. Medium-full, with a succulent mid-palate and soft tannins, this is a great value Pauillac
