This latest Small Batch Release from the English Whisky Company is matured to perfection for eight years in American Oak casks. Only 1486 bottles available worldwide. Non Chill-filtered. On the nose, vanilla custard, slightly citrus with a hint of orange, spotted dick and rich dark chocolate. Creamy toffee and butterscotch. Subtle notes of liquorice, guava and pineapple. On the palate, vanilla, light citrus fruits. Slightly dry, dark chocolate, light honey with a subtle hint of liquorice. This is effectively the new release of what used to be the Chapter 17. It is unique in the range (of The English) in that the distillation is different the other small batches, the original & the smokey all follow the same process whereas this has the extra distillation.
